The Round Martinique Regatta 2019 will be 3 days, 3 legs, 3 great moments of celebration and relaxation

3 intense days of racing of course, in order to experience the adrenaline of a prestigious sporting event as well as to come together and share a great experience. 3 days also to discover the nautical activities and the world of sailing for both adults and children. And also 3 days to relax and party. A long weekend open to all: professional sailors, amateurs, enthusiasts, families or simply the curious.

3 days because we are sticking to a winning format!

3 legs designed for experienced, amateur and new sailors but also for professionals. Indeed, this new edition of The Round Martinique Regatta, will be adapted to all levels.

  • Leg 1: Bay of Fort-de-France
We are happy to start in the beautiful bay of Fort de France, recently described as the most beautiful bay in the world. On this occasion, it will be transformed into a real nautical stadium, to welcome this first technical leg called The Round-Bay.
  • Leg 2: Fort-de-France - Marin
Depending on the level or the preference of each, crewmembers will be able to choose to race this 2nd leg along the Caribbean coast The Round-Rally or along Atlantic coast The Round-Raid. The latter, a demanding leg of 80 nautical miles, will be particularly appreciated by the toughest.
  • Leg 3: Marin - Anses d'Arlet
The last leg The Round-Rock invites us to sail around the emblematic Rocher du Diamant to finish the race on the picturesque beach of Anses d'Arlet, for a moment of relaxation where everyone can savour the end of these 3 intense days of sailing.

3 great moments of celebration, for success in a regatta equally requires emphasising a festive and friendly spirit. The 2019 edition proposes 2 wonderful evenings and a lunch for all the crews:

  • Friday the 8th, special event evening open to all, at the Martinique Yacht Club, from 6pm.
  • Saturday the 9th, surprise evening party in the Marin / Sainte-Anne
  • Sunday the 10th:
    • Midday: relaxing lunch on the beautiful beach of Anses d’Arlet, a time for enjoyment to mark the end of the regatta.
    • Evening: head to the Malécon of Fort-de-France, for the prize-giving.

The spirit of the regatta will be shared by all around the Malécon Race Village: there will be a bar for getting together, screens and practical information to follow the different legs of the race, stands offering information about sailing, sports activities for children, games for the older ones and of course the prize-giving ceremony to conclude the event.

Fort-de-France will play host and provide the steady breeze of the trade winds, the regular tides and a great welcome for the event in the build-up to the annual carnival event.
